Under the Microscope

Developed to fit with the Australian Curriculum (ACARA), Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

RESTA's Under the Microscope helps students understand magnification and assists with the concept of focusing on a subject for better viewing.
This workshop is interactive and engaging for all involved.  Teacher assistance is required depending on the age and capability of the students.

LCD screen microscopes are utilized for ease of use.

For schools 2 larger scientific microscopes may be used.

Outside discovery time is also catered for by having microscopes and magnifying glasses for the students to find things to look at.

Samples for younger children are things that can be seen by the naked eye, but become extraordinary with magnification.

This workshop is suitable for K - Y6 and mapping can be provided upon request.

Workshop duration is approximately 60 minutes.

Not suitable for under kindergarten age (3.5 years) due to educational content.
