Bush 2 Beach

Developed to fit with the Australian Curriculum (ACARA), Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG)and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)


RESTA's Bush 2 Beach helps students understand ecology and the environment.  It helps students understand bio-diversity and that certain plants and animals are only found in certain environments.
This workshop is interactive and engaging for all involved.  Teacher assistance is required depending on the age and capability of the students.

 

By sorting items into various different environments and with some belonging in more than one assists with deductive reasoning.

Some live animals may be used to help with understanding.

 

Outside time is also catered for by students planting a seed to take home.

 

Pollution and other environmental issues are also discussed to assist students in understanding what can destroy ecosystems and environments.


This workshop is suitable for K - Y6 and mapping can be provided upon request.

Workshop duration is approximately 60 minutes.

Not suitable for under kindergarten age (3.5 years) due to educational content.
